    The Fender Jazz Bass is one of the best for any type of music. The bass player from Rush uses one and he plays progressive rock. Nothing wrong with that :)

    Just got me a Geddy Lee Jazz bass. I covered jumping in the fire and sad but true. Sounds good to me. Don't know if a fender precision bass would be better though. Might want to check it out at your local music center.

    It's a bass. It will work for playing bass, assuming it's played by a competent person..
