Is the USA shutting down?
Okay so a few days ago I heard that the USA is shutting down all of it's borders and all I have are a few gossipy friends and internet memes, both of which are extremely unreliable. So if you could please explain (in a dumbed down way, I don't want 'pew pew pew' but not 'democratic monography') to me what's going on, that would be fantastic. Thanks :)

People are stupid and often talk about things, things which they have no idea what they are talking about. No the United States is not Shutting down. The Us govt is currently shut down yes, a partial one at that. This only means government funded programs such as the WIC program will no longer be running for the time being. ALso national parks and museums will be closed, and some people who work for the govt/federal employees are now laid off for the time being. Public service jobs (police) will be paid once the govt is up again, along with some of our troops and politicians. As far as our boarders go, I am sure they are still there!

We are not shutting down, our government, which is full of idiots, very few are actually good, like Indiana's state senator, he is good. But since there are so many idiots running the government, they decided to shut down for a short period of time to think about things such as Obama care (which does more harm than good), they are thinking of getting rid of that, why they shut down because of a reason like that, I have no idea, but that's not the only reason.
