BF help, please answer?

Advice please on what to do about my bf/ex bf (at this point I don't know what to call him)

When he gets mad he will ignore me, he doesn't respond to text message or answer my phone calls. The last time we talked or hung out was on sept 2, I'm not even sure of the reason he's mad. He die this to family too. The last time he did this was in the doing, he ignored me for a whole month but we worked it out. I miss him so much, can't stop thinking about him. Very sad over this! This time I'm pretty sure it's done but since he does this, a part of me think we'll work through it again. What should I do? What can I say to get him to talk to me? What would you do? How do I get over him if this is it?

(We're not young we are both in our upper 20's. and have been together a year and a half)

BQ: a male family member of his called and texted me a few days back and wanted to hang out, trying to talk to me.? What would you think of that? Is that a setup?
