How d I convince my nan I don't have an addictive personality?

Long story short; she lost her second son because of drug abuse and she thinks the root of his addictive personality is gaming (it was probably because she smoked when she was pregnant). I want a Playstation 4. She's the only one who can afford it. She thinks it'll make me play on it more and be anti-social but because all my friends are getting it I wont be able to play it with anyone. I have confrontation issues and I don't like watching T.V. because nothings ever on and it's passive. Please help.

Simple answer is you can't. People are entitled to their own personal opinions. For example your opinion is that smoking causes an addictive personality. There's no more scientific proof of that than there is for your Nan's opinion. Suggest you give up on trying to manipulate your Nanand instead look into getting a part-time job of some kind and saving up for your own P,ay station 4.
