What is the best engine for my car?
I have a Ford Taurus SEL 2008. My baby has 122K miles on her. BUT I love my car so much, I don't want a new one. I just want to know what it the best performance engine that will work/fit in my Taurus.

Any engine will work in the vehicle if you have the time and knowledge to make it work.
But if it is power you want, it would be far easier to modify the existing engine rather than trying to shoehorn another engine under the hood.

The only engine that will fit and work in that car is the same one it came with....unless you feel like doing a whole bunch of custom work,..then you could put in anything you wanted.

None. The transmission will not be able to handle much more power. Besides, you cannot legally put in a different engine and still pass smog check.
