I am looking for a vacuum pump?
I am wanting to vacuum form fiberglass over balsa shapes. Money is tight right now, so I need it to be under $40, and able to pull at least 12 to 14 psig of vacuum. Any one know of a source for such a vacuum pump? all the ones I have seen on the net start around $120.

12-14 psig is absurd for what you want to do unless you have an absolute reference to that amount - 14.7 psig is the absolute maximum you can get (standard atmospheric pressure) so you are saying you have to pull a 0.7 to 2.7 vacuum which is very low and the reason you are getting such high prices
And pulling a vacuum for fiberglass over balsa has got to mean mat (or fine cloth) because fiberglass is porous and fiberglass plus set resin is rigid, so you need high volume to make up the air flow through the mat, which means a higher volume, lower pressure suction should work - have you explored to see whether an industrial or even home vacuum will meet your needs?
