Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

I do not like the new yahoo answers...what do you think?

Update:

Well then, it will take me some time as I don't have a clue what is going on and where to find everything. I don't see why we have to fix something that wasn't broke.

Update 2:

Someone just mentioned to go to the Canadian Site and its still the old format. I did and until they get rid of that...I'll just stay on that site.

I do not like it all and cannot use it. Not many do like it.

There are far too many things wrong with the functionality of the new format and too many silly added non features.

Too many users that do not like it do not use the threads to voice their opinions and just rant and complain on here which does not help.

Not enough users are posting links to the threads and have a suck it up or leave mindset.

For Now you can use the Canadian site as it is still the old format and has the same q&a. http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/

There are two threads by the Y!A team that you can add to on the Suggestion board.

    #1 Feedback/Comments on the new Y!A format

#2 Bugs/issues related to the new Y!A format

It takes a little getting used to. Normally, I am not a big fan of change for no good reason. However, this change really does seem to be an improvement, once one gets used to some things' being in a different place.

It looks like Yahoo really is making the switch. Using another country's site to get the old format, as some are suggesting, is just postponing the inevitable. I say use the new one and get used to it.

I like the in-line reporting and the Add Media link and the fact that anyone can now use the thumbs ratings system. I also like that, if you know where to look, you can see who gave you a thumbs-up rating.

Didn't like it at first, but getting used to it and more comfortable now that I know where to find everything. Runs faster for me, which is nice. Wish they would fix the email glitch.

it has some good features but it's difficult to navigate.

it feels like using a smartphone even if you're on computer.

Source(s): i am using canadian yahoo answers.
