Does the appearance of certain players in the post season surprise you?

Like here in the divisional series.

Stephen Vogt, catching for the A's. I can honestly say I never heard of the guy.

Michael Young, getting the start for the Dodgers, I can hardly recall him even going to LA.

David De Jesus. Last I recall he was DFA by the Cubs.

Are you guys up on all that? Or it's just me, I'm slowing down.

I keep a short cut to mlb home page on my phone, so I'm up to date. In fact I can probably name you 95% of every playoff team's roster, although I can sympathize with you to an extent, when American Football begins its season I do find myself getting a bit distracted from baseball.

Sometimes -- but Mark Kiger owns this category.

He made his major league debut in the 2006 ALCS for Oakland, never batted, only played late inning defense in two games. Never got into a major league game again.

Surprise me? No, but only because I have no idea who the majority of the players on the Oakland team are.

Nobody has heard of anybody on the A's.
