What is wrong with this simple solution to the nations medical problem?

It keeps more money in your pocket.

It provides instant healthcare to every person in America.

There is no government bureaucracy needed.

SOLUTION; The IRS notifies every doctor and medical facility in America..... they are authorized to deduct a percentage of their tax burden for every pro-bono (free) medical case they treat......the amount deducted will be in a ratio to the market value of services provide. Indigence will be verified by the patients tax status or unemployment benefits. Everyone is required to file taxes, even those with no employment or income. The entire program can be supported by the existing government infrastructure.....no new agency is required. No new taxes are required it is largely self funded.

Medical personnel found to be padding the books with false indigent patients will be heavily fined and those fines used to support the system.

Update:

MOM...... First it would be less than the 44 new taxes we are getting on a program that is already failing. Second our tax system needs revising.....a 10.5% flat tax with no deductions except for charity contributions would MORE than pay expenses. Finally a complete revision of the Federal government bring them back in line with the Constitution and give responsibility back to the states where WE THE PEOPLE have more control would also help.

Update 2:

EXPATINASIA....Pssssst the IRS is not a new bureaucracy.....it is an old bureaucracy and simply doing its job....publishing income tax tables

Update 3:

MOM..... FIRST..... 10% of nothing is nothing...... the bottom limits remain the same.... a flat tax would not impact the poor..... corporations would carry the tax burden not individuals.... as to the rich keeping 90%....Why not.....they earned it.....why punish success.... you just drive them out of the country....brad Pitt owns a farm in France..... George Clooney owns a villa in Italy....what is to keep the rich from leaving....when the English placed the tax burden on the rich; some up to 95%.... they ran away When France placed a heavy tax on the rich two of the more famous moved to Russia

As to crunching the numbers.....been done many times by many people.....that is how I got the "10.5%"

And Canada's / England's medical system is TAX supported.... administered by the government....this system does not require government support..... the money never leaves the doctors pocket

The government is inefficient.....uneconomic and ineffective at running these type pro

Update 4:

TOMSTAR8....Do your research....almost 50% of all malpractice suits are against the same hand-full of doctors..... maybe the start is to have a better doctor self regulation system.....possibly a suspension of their medical license and re-certification when they screw up instead of having their insurance pay up and continue their incompetence

Have you figured out how much you would have to raise taxes to cover the 17% of GDP we spend every year on health care?

Edit: I know you believe that, but have you actually done any figures?

If you want a flat tax, I'm not sure where you should go, since I don't know of any countries that expect the poor to be able to live at 90% of poverty while the wealthy live at 90% of wealth. I personally don't expect them to. The government is in line with the Constitution. If you can prove it isn't, feel free to take your case to the Supreme Court. Just because it isn't being run like you want it to doesn't mean it is unConstitutional.

Besides, your plan is so close to a national health service like in Canada and the UK that I don't see a whole lot of difference, and I'm sure you don't approve of those!

Drs. without borders ? Just popped into mind, I'm going to have to think more on this. Mercy flights? How can these be abused. 16billion in aids relief for Africa. Immigration? Peace Corps. rape Kenyan and Somalia? The U.N. and agenda 21? Climate change?

The General Welfare clause applies to 50 states not 57 in my opinon.

Have you any idea how much malpractice insurance alone costs!? You're doctor is probably spending a good 1/2 million dollars a year to keep his *** insured from people who will sue for the dumbest reasons, and yet you're encouraging the medical community to trust a system that both taxes them to death and does nothing to stop the great lawsuit lottery? Good luck with that plan, buddy. Good luck...

"There is no government bureaucracy needed...The IRS notifies every doctor..."

Just like every other conservative, you say one thing, and then you contradict yourself.

It is something to be considered.
