Diversity of values within a culture can have both positive and negative effects. On the positive side is the fact that such diversity indicates what may be a more open, pluralistic society which is tolerant of various kinds of people and beliefs. That means there's likely to be a place for all kinds of people without discrimination and prejudice. On the negative side is the possibility of intra-cultural conflict. Consider current examples from the middle east of Sunni and Shiite within Islam or Catholic and Protestant groups within the U.S. Especially in the case of extremist religious groups, such differences can be the basis for conflict and even civil war. I think I'd run this as a Top 10 - had the same values; shared values..............as you work this down the list, I believe you will see the different/didn't......make a Top 10 of those.........
