If you grow a tree from a branch, what is the age of that tree?

Let's say that you have a tree that lives about 100 years and when it is 95 years old you cut off a big branch and rooted it with root growth hormone and it grow into another tree. Does that mean that the new tree from an 95 year old tree gets a new lease on life and would live approximately another 100 years?
