    What each layer does can easily be found on Google.

    Note, the 7 layer model is *obsolete*. No one uses it, basically it never caught on. Session, presentation and application layers are left to the application to handle as it sees fit. The bottom 4 layers are still used, but not using the OSI standards that were developed (which were over complicated and difficult to get to work)
