In-Built Microphone not working :(?
The Microphone on my laptop is not working :( My computer is HP. When you go to Sound section on Control Panel it just says "Currently Unavailable". And when I went to test it on Skype the name of the Microphone normally appears but it doesn't come up and says no Microphone available. My computer is Windows 8 if that is any help? :S Sorry if the detail is lacking I'm rubbish at computers! Any help would be appreciated, Thanks :)

You can check that the software is up to date (or even installed) by right click in bottom left corner of the screen (the start button) >> then clicking device manager >> then audio inputs and out puts >> then the microphone (realtek is the most common) >> Then right click the microphone one and select properties >> and then the driver tab >> then check for update.
If this fail then go back to when you right clicked on the microphone and the select scan for hardware changes.
If all else fails go to somewhere like pc world and get it checked.
