How many Aussies have been?

sent letters from Malaysia re lost fortunes? It seems my long lost uncle Ang has died and left me $13.5 mil. It seems I am his closest living relative, even though the surname used is my former husband's name, not mine.

Update:

@ Deb. Maybe we are related. I think all my Nigerian uncles have passed as well

Actually this letter was sent in the mail and typed on genuine office paper, letterhead and all. I googled the company and it is a genuine law firm.

Update 2:

@ Aussie.....I share with my friends, mate. How much would you like?

Update 3:

@ ooo. I think we must have NOT been in the same lotteries. My total "inheritance" and "winnings"over the last 12 months alone has been close to 32 mil

At some point you'll be asked to provide money, you can bet on it. A genuine law firm would contact a genuine law firm in your area to contact you. I've won the lottery in countries I can't even spell................ sometimes twice. I'm a paper billionaire! Mind you I haven't seen a cent of my considerable winnings and that's because I never ever respond. They don't bother me anymore so I guess they consider my address ''dead''.

So all the Nigerian relatives have finally passed? Scams to the left. scams to the right, how stupid do these scammers think we are? I have no doubt some people will be greedy/naive/dumb and get caught.

How strange you would post this, I only on Monday deleted an email from Washington DC, it also seems similar scams from Saudi Arabia, and from Indonesia.

I've received them from just about everywhere apart from Malaysia! Lately I've taken to replying with the word "Parasite" in the largest font available. Very satisfying.

How many Aussies have been scammed, in other words? Probably quite a few. It is, though, a scam. Not real.
