English has the most native and second language speakers living in the widest population distribution in the world.

Most WIDELY spoken language in the world is English.

But MOST SPOKEN language in the world is Chinese (Mandarin).

There are more speakers of Chinese than speakers of English. But English is used more widely across the globe than is Chinese, which obviously is most concentrated in China.

It was English now it is Spanish.

Spoken as in First Language per person that would Spanish.

Of course though a Sub culture Language is the Cryllic Languages ( Russian, Geogian, etc..)

If you include all people who speak it as a First, Second or Third language, then English would be the most spoken language on Earth.

Because China's population is huge which means there will me more native speakers to Chinese than English making Chinese the most common language spoken but the most common second language learnt is English because it's most useful

Well it is English and then Spanish but they do not have as many speakers as Chinese does.However Chinese is not widely spoken worldwide.

I used to think it was English, but it's actually Chinese.
