how do you get norton disk optimization to realize it isn't alreayd running?
I run task manager and it says there are no tasks running. I try to run Norton disk optimization and it says another instance of this task is running wait until it finishes. how do I get it to see that it isn't already running?

As Kitfox Voorhees suggested, please restart the computer and run Disk Optimization again and see if that helps!

Go on Chat with Norton support. They will get it fixed for you. The support is free and they are good.

either uninstall and reinstall the software again becuase it may be a corrupt file somewhere or use the windows tool disc defragmentor and disc cleanup will do the job.(but not remove malware)
