Why are there chemicals in my food?
There chemicals everywhere! I can't even eat fruit without these chemicals. My lemons are "Coated with vegetable, petroleum, beeswax and/or lac-resin based wax or resin" and my oranges are "Treated to mantain freshness with one or more of the following: o-phenylphenol, thiabendazole, imazalil and coated with food grade natural resins and/or vegetable wax". This is pissing me off and besides they aren't making it taste better the lemons taste plain and the oranges taste like dog poo (I have had fresh picked ones before, much better) . This is crazy how I can't even eat heathly without all sorts of chemicals! Why are these chemicals in my food? Are there any stores/brands that don't load my food with chemicals ?

To preserve it and make it more tasty so people will like it and buy it. That is why a lot of people grow their own food...

A lot of fruit is coated with wax to help keep it fresh. If you don't like it, try buying your food at local farm stands which are less likely to have fruit that's been waxed. I'm assuming you live in california or florida, otherwise forget about citrus.
