Why do gay and bisexual men have higher rates of HIV infection than general population?
I will answer my own question to a degree, some people may dislike my answer. My answer is because there are male. Many straight men would have sex with lots women if there could but can't find the women for this in main. For men who are gay there can find other men like them and have more sex. It is not a problem of gay behaviour but of male behaviour. Gay men have the opportunities that straight men don't, if straight men did than would be more HIV almost straight men.

As during gay sex there is no risk of pregnancy, some people don't bother to use condoms. That dosen't mean all gay people have unprotected sex, there are some who do use condoms.
Because of this HIV tends to be more prominent in the homosexual community.
If a gay person is using a condom (or some other form of safe sex), their risk of getting HIV/AIDS is no higher or lower than someone's risk if having heterosexual sex.

''Additional details'' Really? Well I must have been doing something wrong when I was gay then because I only had ONE boyfriend the whole time because of the very reason there weren't many gay men in my area and any that were, were extremely feminine.
It wasn't the gay community who even started it in the first place, HIV came from another country, The reason for it is because as another answer said, they/we can't get pregnant so they/we see no need for a condom and of course you never know where the one you're doing it with has been so you can catch it. Hope this helps

too many folks aren't monogamous. that's part of the problem. I like sex far more than a lot of folks, but I wouldn't run fast like this, putting myself at risk. I'm lonely a great deal, but I can't let myself get sick this way.
(I find it quite twisted to see a down vote represented on such a very true fact. Such is the case for denial and arrogance).
