How long until my bald spot will grow back a little? Please answer?

I'm 15 and have trichotillomania, or at least I think thats how it's spelt. I have a small bald spot by my ear and I need a haircut. How long does it take to grow back to the point it won't be noticeable if I got a buzzcut?

On average, human hair grows around half an inch per month (that's 1.25 centimeters for you strange metric people). So, if it's bald now, you're probably going to have to wait at least a week or two before you can get a buzzcut to hide the spot. If you shave your head however, or buzz it up top and shave the sides, you should be good.

I had a bald spot when I was about, say.. seven or eight? It took probably a week or two for it to grow back.

We all lose some hair strands each day. So, it’s normal to see some hair coming off your scalp when you brush your hair daily. Normally we lose about 80-100 strands daily due to the end of life cycle of a hair strand. If that’s the matter, you don’t have to worry a lot. Just continue to have a stress-less healthy lifestyle including balanced diet. It’s when you see an abnormal loss of hair that you should start taking measures to stop this. There are many causes of hair loss.

Whatever the causes, you should try to eliminate them first and then resort to these home remedies for hair loss. Read here https://tr.im/cLGvX

You may lose hair due to some hormonal changes, unhealthy lifestyle, junk food devoid of nutritional value, stress, some medication, vitamins deficiency, thyroid problems, menopause etc.

Some thyroid disorders can be cured, but many require lifetime treatment. Learn here https://tr.im/v3fh3

For example, sometimes early stage thyroid cancer can be cured by surgery to remove the thyroid gland, but you will need to take thyroid hormone medication afterwards for the rest of your life. Goiters can also be surgically removed and do not always recur after surgery. In most cases, thyroid disorders need treatment over a lifetime. However, with treatment most people with thyroid disorders can live normal, healthy lives.
