Making a Video Game Character?

I am planning a video game that I will try to make and i need help with coming up with the main character. It takes place in a zombie-setting just after everything goes bad. He needs to be:

Male (I already have a lot of female side characters)

Strong

I just need like, his occupation and what his family situation was like and where he was when everything went down. Thnx

    Hmm

Lead characters are are better if they aren't tall. I've learned if they are short, people grow more connected to them. They can still be really strong though.

Give him a unique outfit for the time period. Maybe with an oversized belt with guns attached to it and clunky boots.

As for hair, anything goes. It can be simple or extravagant.

Maybe have him be a weapons maker. That way he can have a ton of weapons in the game that he can change out in battle. Perhaps he has a family buisness that he will inherit (depending on his age. Characters are stronger when they're really young. Sad but true.) I think he should have experience with zombies, for example, his younger sister got killed by one.

One day, he was walking his sister Tabitha to school and zombies attacked. Just an idea.

Give him a simple name like Brody or Jack. His character is more easy to remember that way.

    Hope I helped!
