Is it normal to have lower grades during the first quarter of the year?

i'm a junior so yes... It's harder for me this year. I have harder classes and classes where I'm not used to having so much work to do.

Right now, I have just A's and B's which is good though the percentages I have are not where I'd like them to be. ;-;

This is one of those times where I'm just freaking out about my grades. I mean, I work as hard as I can and... I'm still adjusting to the changes, I guess. The quarter ends next week for me, I think.

Um... is it normal to have lower grades during the first quarter of the year?

    Yes it is normal to have a low grade in the first quarter because your just starting the school year. But the second quarter counts because your brain is fully replenished and you have the end of the year exam. here are some tips:

    1. study hard

    2. don't let bad people influence you to-make bad decisions.

    Have fun and try not to worry.!

    if your in elementary school: get ready for middle school it isn't easy as you think/

    middle school:this prepares you for high school

    high school Pay ATTENTION your grades will be looked at for whatever col loge you apply for. if it inst good you might not get accepted if it is you will likely get accepted

    well have fun and don't forget to vote

    Because of PSATs and such, I think that its OK to see lower grades the first quarter. In my school, we have 4 quarters, and usually our second quarter is our best since there are almost no exams. As you go closer to the end of the year, you can expect your grade to become harder to bring up because of the limited amount of time.

    PS. Good luck on those PSATs if you are taking them this week.

    It's totally normal! I'm in high school too (high five!) and had a D- in AP Chemistry. I'm slowly, painfully pulling it back up. Just remember to not overwork yourself! Believe it or not, sleeping early is better than staying up until 3 am studying. Remember life is not all about the A's, although getting good grades should be a priority. Keep working hard and I'm sure you'll do fine!
