Check Lght of my car turns on for few seconds?

The warning/check light of my Chevrolet Exclusive LS becomes on after intervals. Disappears itself. It is on when i lift foot from accellerator. The mechanic said the scaner can detect fault problem if check light is always on.

Guide me how to trouble shoot.

    Find a real mechanic. The code for the light will be in there even if it turned itself off.
