how to identify if my job has asbestos?

I work in a warehouse where the walks are covered in what looks like a sprayed on insulation. Its white and textured. When looking closely, you can see little fibers sticking out, like hair. Looks like its hairy. Im very concerned its asbestos. Anyone know what this could be?

Btw, it doesnt crumble easily. If you take a sharp obect to it and twist it around it gets dusty. It kinda looks like paper machete. Please help. Im going crazy here.

Asbestos was component of spray on insulation in during 20th century. If you live in US, chances are that the 'asbestos' is fiberglass or ceramic fibers. If your workplace still uses asbestos products then OSHA regulations mandate proper employee training for any potential asbestos exposure.

Serious health hazards of asbestos arise when your are exposed to it for prolonged period of time.

You take a sample of it to a local lab. It is 99% likely fiberglass or paper insulation, but only testing will give you the answer.

go to work ask to read the register of the type, condition and location of the asbestos, if there is any. then you can tell what you found, and to make it removed after the right analysis has been made
