What is with Yahoo Answers reporting?
Members profiles have a link no the bottom right that allows you to report profiles that violate Yahoo TOS. So what is with them asking for more information? I reported a profile that clearly is nothing but advertising for the members business. Anyone that bothered to look at the person profile would see that. Instead YA sends me a message telling me that they need me to supply more information for them to investigate the profile. That is totally stupid. Even if it made sense, what else could I possibly give them that the profile does not have already? Anyone else had this problem reporting profiles?

Yahoo does some things that do not make sense. I saw the person that you reported because of the profile name. BUt apparently it is not a violation of the term of agreement with yahoo. This is also why KW can use the name of his forum as a source. Apparently if we desired we can use the names of our dojo, schools, etc when responding on yahoo, because having a number of years of experience or something to that nature. It states that you can use the name of your business, etc. but if you are using multiple account that is a violation. If I can find the terms on this I will copy and post it here.
I found it.
Exploiting the community
Yahoo Answers is a place to gain knowledge, not customers, page views, or dates. If you have years of experience in something, have a special hobby, own your own business, or if you are a knowledge partner, it's OK to accompany a good, on-topic answer with a link to your website, blog, or email to offer more information. However, it is not OK to post links that are unrelated to the topic or are clearly meant only to solicit others for personal and financial gain. Also prohibited are solicitations like "Will you add me as a contact?" or propositioning people. Read more

It was probably an automated message, I hope.
Yahoo does some things that could be considered... Silly, sometimes, maybe more than that, but having a popular website has a lot of troublemakers or inaccurate reports, I've Moderated a board possibly far more "popular" than this and it can really get tough, so the more information they have when making reports the better and faster they can correct the issue.

I get my stuff reported all the time, including today. It's the main reason why I don't take this site seriously haven't been on here regularly in years. The trolls killed it.

I think it's ALL "Window Dressing." It makes the Site LOOK "Responsible..." -As LONG as You don't have to "Dig"- any deeper- than THAT... :(
