Noah's ark story?

What happened to all the ships or boats of the day? There must have been some water vessels that people could use to stay on top of the water?

Has anyone ever considered that?

Update:

@WE HEart God,

Starved? People who owned boats way back then did it for fishing purposes, not for pleasure cruises,

I am being stupid again. Sorry, I am trying to have a rational debate with a christian about Christian fables.

    Lets not forget blimps and airplanes - they must have been around in that day as well.. We have them now so they must have existed throughout all of history!

    Yes I realize the statement above is patently absurd... But the reality is it is no less absurd than your statement... Why must there have been water vessels in that day. In recorded history you don't have ships of construction capable of remaining afloat for the period of time required and carrying sufficient food stores to allow surviving for a year until the Second Century BC about 500 to 600 years after the flood.

    While it is true that fishing can be dated back to the paleolithic period with both spear fishing and using hooks, that was done mostly from land or in shallows. The earliest use of boats in fishing was in ancient Egypt. The simple reed boats used by fishermen in ancient Egypt would not have survived almost a year in the water. They would have been fine for a day in the water and then allowed to dry overnight on land, but they would not have survived being continuously in the water for almost a year.

    Now if you want to ignore recorded history and just make **** up, that's fine, but don't expect intelligent people to believe you!

    it was the first time they heard of rain, Noah believed God, all humanity doubted the news, Noah finished and entered the ark with his family plus the selected animals, the rain came turned to be a great flood then a great sea, no one was saved.

    They did not have boats at the time of the flood. Noah's ark was the only vessel.

    Not only have I considered it, I mentioned it here once. You can imagine how many thumbs down I received from creationists.

    in the open seas waves can range 50-100 ft or more

    no way a boat could withstand that

    and the waters coverd the eath for just over a year - they would have starved
