can I permanently disable Full screen Mode in windows 8?

I swear I want to scream every 10 seconds. It's TERRIBLE the simplest toggle and it jumps back into full screen mode. Please don't say F11 because that's a 2 second fix. I want it gone and I absolutely hate windows 8. I'm using touch screen. Is my sensitivity set wrong? Help because I'm going to toss this out the window soon.

It can't be disabled. Think of it as the new start menu.

Anywho, seems like you might want to learn how to get around in the new OS. It'll take a few minutes but once you learn how to get around, it'll be less frustrating.

Windows 8 supports a bunch of new touch gestures for both touch screen and laptop trackpads/touchpads. I imagine the touchpad is what's giving you trouble. Swiping from the left side of the touchpad to the center is the app switching gesture. So if you seem to be getting thrown into Start or previous app then that's what's going on. It's easy enough to disable.

Windows key + I > Change PC settings > General > Turn off "When I swipe in from the left edge, switch to my most recent app."

Swiping in from the right edge of the touchpad will pull open the charms bar where you'll find Search, Share, Start, Devices, and Settings. While on Start or in an app, swiping from the bottom to the center will open the app bar. Think of it as a right click menu.

Here are more gestures. Again, they work on both touch screens and touchpads.
