What are my chances of getting deployed while in college?

I'm a senior in HS and I'm enlisting in the national guard for the money and extra training before I go off to college and do ROTC next year. My unit isn't scheduled for deployment anytime soon, but even I know anything is subject to change. I do plan on enlisting 11b, but because I'll be a full time student and be in ROTC/SMP, is it likely I'd get sent off overseas?

    1. your NOT gonna be a smp for at least two years -- smp is for those in the advanced course MS lll and MS lV

    2. if your unit deploys- then you deploy, simple as that -- college has nothing to do with it

    3. contracted ROTC cadets -- cannot be deployed

If you are an SMP Cadet and / or scholarship, you will not deploy with your unit - Army regulation. If you were just some guy in college and in the Guard, then off you go if called up.

How do you know that you will be enlisting as an Infantryman? Is there an Infantry unit near the college you want to attend?

Sorry, but if I wanted some hard corp action seeing I would go with the rangers, Marines, MARSOC, AFSOC, Seals, or Delta force. Idk about un-enlisting if I were you I wouldn't of enlisted before collage, and just get a collage loan or go in on a ROTC/military scholarship thing.
