Best digital camera around £300?
I want a camera that can take very very close up pictures of insects and can take brilliant images of stars
Im wanting to spend around £300 maximum.
What can you recormend

To take brilliant images of stars you have to connect the camera to a telescope.
That means a DSLR
Cheapest new DSLR at present is the Canon 1100D at £260

You would then need an astronomical telescope and adapter for stars.
For insects you will get reasonably close with the lens provided but to get REALLY close you need a macro lens - cost about £600.

I have a canon 500d which is great for close ups and capturing details like insects...
They're about £500 but i found mine second hand for £250
