During Durga puja, why only poor goats are sacrificed? Why not lions,dogs, buffallows,tigors etc.?

Surprising what the poor goats have done to deserve, this fate? What way NVeg people do to sacrifice on ashtmi/navmi day.?

    because goat meat is testy in comparision to those you mentioned.

    So that we don't end up sacrificing ourselves at the altar instead of the tigers, lions and dogs we intend to.

    When Jesus was circumcised, they sacrificed two turtledoves and two pigeons to God - Luke 2:21-24. Weird or what?

    Sacrificing any living creature for religious purposes serves no purpose at all.

    Its the tradition.....not that I am FOR it though I dont think many of us think how many Chickens, goats & cows are slaughtered for our food & we still have problems for sacrificed killing

    yes.. even God wont accept killing any living being in his name.. anyway we only eat what we kill, so why blame God for it...
