1998 Pathfinder problem.?

Hi to all and thanks.

My 1998 pathfinder has had a progressing problem for a couple of months now, there is a sort of rattling or clanking if you will coming from the back of the car. But it's not just like 2 pieces of metal hitting together making a sound, you can actually feel it. It only happens when the car is cruising downhill and on flat stretches and hits bumps plus sometimes when I don't shift smoothly enough. It feels like the axle is lose almost. Anyone know what it could be? Drive shaft maybe?

    Universal joint problem. Those are on the driveshaft.
