Can I get paid more if my company cancels my health plan due to The Affordable Health Care Act?

They always tell us that A great deal of money is spent on Supplying us health care through the company. Now if they cancel it wouldn't it seem legally speaking that the money that was once spent to cover my health care should now be paid to me in way of higher wages? Just wondering the legalities here.

When a company drops group health insurance (regardless if it is relation to the ACA or not), the employees would not get a raise in pay.

If any part of the premium had been withheld from the employee's wages, though, net pay would rise due to the elimination of that payroll deduction.

Assuming you earn above minimum wage, your company is under no obligation to pay you more if they drop health insurance.

However, you would now be eligible to purchase a subsidized policy on your state exchange if you meet the income requirements.

No, they are entitled to drop coverage but dropping health insurance coverage..that's a bad idea for them because no one will want to work at a job with no benefits..

they also can't drop coverage if they have over 50 employees..and they can't drop coverage for some people..So if they drop coverage altogether..that means evern management won't get benefits..and like I said Above..no one will want to work there
