Is the program REGSERVO any good?

Is this a safe program to run or just a con job?

I had computer trouble and this program mysteriously appeared on my screen.

I thought it came from Microsoft and I paid to have it installed.

But someone from Avast!, my anti-virus program, said REGSERVO wasn't necessary, or rather, didn't much count to making my computer run well.

What's the story?

What I fear is this program creating more trouble than it's worth.

As you can tell, when it comes to software I'm a total illiterate!

But thanks one and all for any information/opinion.

Update:

Hi wtc,

I just uninstalled this piece of sh*t.

I paid to learn a costly lesson.

I was having major computer problems until I paid the techs at Avast!, my anti-virus program,

to clean my computer. They did a great job and my contract with them will last a year should any other problems/virus show up.

Dum me I didn't just buy one of there programs, because of a special they were running, wow what a mistake, & help a couple relatives. Down loaded ran then went to see if it had taken care of problems at first things seemed fine, when suddenly the screen went white, couldn't connect to internet or do anything but look at things already...

I no this is an old thread now, I'm having major difficulty with WINDOWS 8.1, just won't work after last lot of updates, I'm pretty computer literate and can usually figure these things out but this is a doozy, it corrupted my AVG security, no sound and can't get into any windows program, so I cant even trouble shoot. Every screen just freezes and my Adobe Flash player crashed. My AVG tune up which was not affected? I can usually run a Windows scan and clean up but this time once i commence it tells me to be patient and will take a cpl minutes, WELL it just keeps scanning and scanning. I left it doing that thinking, oh well it's a big problem so may take time. I went out for an hour or so when I came back it was still doing the same thing and It would not even let me cancel or close the window, so did the old CTRL,ALT, DELETE was the only way I could re start. I am going to give this a try for $29.95 if it doesn't work ill get my money back. I went off track there, my point of this reply was actually to let people no, to be very careful when allowing companies, security etc any one to use remote access so they can work on your computer in front of you. Few years ago this was no problem but these days with the amount of identity theft etc, yo have to remember that who ever you have let in to your computer, once that connection has been made even though at the end you close it they then have all your computer information, I no some are legit, just beware as some pose as legit companies. A friend did this with who she thought was Telstra. so you would feel pretty safe, they did fix her connection problem to make her feel safe and then waited a few weeks, they started skimming her money at the beginning the next month, before she knew it they had cleared out her bank account and used all credit on cards, all with in one month, hoping people don't really look at a statement or on line acc before making a monthly payment. They had signed up for things in her name but being sent to a secure location and she was being billed as they had by then wiped her out financially, she started getting overdue payment notices et & they had to pay late fees due to no money in the accounts. The Bank was good they reimbursed her all the money that had been taken, she did have to go in and they sat down with all the statements and they asked her to point out what was not hers, so they were very trusting in her, it took a little while and they were also the ones who figured out how this had all happened so I must say that's 1 for St George bank.

She contacted the companies which were debt collecting and explained what had happened. Unfortunately they don't take that into consideration and don"t care. It's really unbelievable as this person was still receiving Cartons of wine monthly even a Mac PC and Tablet he or she paid most of it upfront with her money but a few payments to go, she got billed for them.

So yes Identity theft is exactly that, that person is now you and can do as they please. They are obviously very good at what they do to get away with it, they no every part of a computer so they get your date of birth, maiden name, license number etc she went thru hell, she had to prove that she was herself. Also all these free lotto e-mails lately, if you have received any again be very careful they are a scam, only way you can lay lotto is over the counter. I feel for some older people who are very trust worthy and have lost everything. Sorry people for this message being so so long. Take care and be safe out there in cyber space.

Im really checking into this REGSERVO before I actually buy. So tired after all this, think ill have a nap.

I was on vacation for 10 days and my laptop crashed on the second day, I could only start in safe mode. I am a lawyer and I really needed to use certain programs, including Adobe Acrobat Pro, which I could not use in safe mode. I tried everything including system restore, CHKDSK, Reg Cure Pro and System Mechanic, which has always worked in the past, but couldn't fix this problem.. I finally found this program REGSERVO online, and it saved me! I paid my $29, I ran it once and I was able to restart my system normally. This was a godsend. I don't know if it was a scam in the past or not, but the current version saved my ***.

NO. It did nothing and they had a person contact me to check my computer online. All that was a sales pitch for over $100 more to fix it. Within the required time frame I requested a refund. I received an email stating it would take 5 to 10 business days. It's been over 30 days. Called again nothing.
