Halloween costume ideas please?

Okay so I've been so focused on comic con that I haven't thought of Halloween costumes

I'm 19, can't afford to buy much, but can sew and can do make up and stage make up with wounds etc

I want something quite dark but not a vampire/zombie/witch, something more original

And I'd like to be able to do some kind of bruising/bloody make up because it's fun

Any ideas would be great please!

Update:

The make up stuff I have is pretty basic stuff-paints, blood, cake blood, spirit gum, wax, and eyeshadow eyeliner etc

When I say I can't afford to buy much I mean it my spending limit is about £10 so anything that would be easy to just find/borrow would be good

Non gender specific costumes are ideal

    My school has this special affects book, with really gross things, you can make pimples hair, whatever and i what I remember is, it was really simple so you could be a zombie or a witch
