What are the arguments in favor of gay marriage?

Could those same arguments be used for incestuous marriage? Or even gay incestuous marriage?

Update:

No one has any arguments in favor of gay marriage? "Gay people want they same rights" is not an argument. It's only stating what people want. Why do they deserve the right to be married?

Update 2:

In the case of "civil partnerships" could this be extended to other couples that society deems repulsive? If not, why not?

    How about this: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness."

    So Gays are demanding ONLY the same rights that everyone else enjoys. They are doing this by altering the government at the state level. The above document was written due to repression. Perhaps you recognize the excerpt?

    Ok, so I'm a person, are you a person? If you are then why would you be better then me? And if you are religious, didn't god create us all equal? Saying that they shouldn't have rights is like saying African Americans or women shouldn't have rights. How would you like it if I said that because the person i LOVE is a blonde, I get to marry them, but since the person you LOVE is a red head, you can't marry them, I mean its wrong. Only blonds should get married. So there is my argument for gays. My argument for incestuous marriage is that as long as there is consent, I see no problem with it, usually.

    Gay people only want the same rights as straight people. Incestuous marriage is not the same thing. The only argument I need is we all have rights, no matter what you're sexuality is. Hope this helps

    "Why do they deserve the same rights to be married?" Because were human, because our constitution gives us equality, because civil partnership is unequal, what don't you get? I don't understand why this concept is so hard for people to understand. Its simple. And as far as incest goes a brother can't marry a sister because the dangers that could evolve out of a pregnancy. And as for two brothers or two sisters go that's up to the two consenting adults in the situation, its not for you to decide.

    as someone whos indifferent to marriage I say whatever.

    But gays are entitled to equal rights as anyone else.

    What are the arguments against it is what I want to know?

    Who would want to get married in a church anyway that doesn't support their beliefs?

    I say the gays should create a breakaway church like the King of England did and have their own beliefs where they live happily ever after.
