You've got a damn good list there. I will go with Robert Plant, especially on Zeppelin's first two albums. He was incredible back then.

    A. Most expansive range, greatest control, best stage craft and superior at controlling the crowd. Succeeded in rock and spread to other genres. Freddie is the greatest

Edit* - Although limiting it to "rock" I'd pick B. Robert Plant.

    E. Other.

None other than Meatloaf. You really cannot underestimate the power his Bat Out of Hell record had at that time.

In a sea of DISCO and endless Bee Gees music........he literally appeared like a bat out of hell, with voice of a horny angel.........and single handedly brought ROCK and ROLL back to life.

The man was a Godsend, and I will never forget how GRATEFUL I was for his Guitar riffs and loud, awesome music. And songs, with actual LYRICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No, my son............You better put Meatloaf on that list.........because the man EARNED his spot.
