I think that the Italian taper is different from the made in Japan.
Other than that, you will not put that thing in my bike even if you pay me. Carbon has a short life spam. I have installed new triples for less.

The crankset sold for about 5 times that price when it was new. Does it include the bottom bracket? It is possibly the best square taper 2 ring crankset you could ever find, except for a Record crankset

I am pretty sure that their square taper cranks are aluminum with a carbon fiber wrap. Sounds like too much money to me.
