John 17:3 - Which part of "I AM NOT GOD" do Christians not understand?
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
Jesus was quoted to have said "I was sent" more than 42 times and my Father, your Father, Our Father who is in Heaven, MY God and YOUR God - more than 56 times.

This question never goes away and never will.
Christendom has been blinded. Most dont really study the bible, they take in only what they are told.
John 1:1 is translated in many bibles correctly as "and the Word was divine" or "the Word was a god". If they dont believe that and most have been brain washed to believe what their leaders say without question, then all they have to do is check scriptures against scriptures and in the vast majority of scriptures Jesus says he is God's son. NOT God, God's son. I cant see how he could make it any clearer but satan has done a good job in blinding people

Marcion; Well, at least you are reading your Bible, even if you don't understand it all. Likewise, I sometimes have to use a commentary to help in my understanding. Here is the way William MacDonald explains that scripture in his commentary , The Believers Commentary:
"Here is a simple explanation of how eternal life is obtained. It is by knowing God and Jesus Christ. The Only true God is in contrast to idols which are not genuine gods at all. This verse does not mean that Jesus Christ is not the true God. The fact that His name is mentioned together with God the Father's as being the joint source of eternal life means that they are equal. Here the Lord called Himself Jesus Christ. Christ was the same as Messiah. This verse disproves the charge that Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah.
When Jesus was on earth, He was subject to His Father God. Before He came to earth as a man, He was God, and He was with God. The beginning of the book of John says, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God and the word was with God. Jesus Christ was and is the Word.
When He said that He was not God, He said so in the sense that He was at that time, a man. He came to earth as a man, so He could identify with us, and He was tempted in all points, like as we are, yet without sin.
The Trinity is hard to understand, that is why we call it Christian Faith. That which we do not understand, we believe in Faith. Look at water in its liquid form. Boil it and it becomes steam, freeze it and it becomes ice. It is still water, in three different forms.
Keep up the good work. Keep reading, you will find more that you do not understand, and there are those of us, who not knowing all the answers, know where to find them. God Bless.

Yes, He is saying it after he put aside his divinity to become man and our kinsman redeemer.
So during this period, that is the way he will be addressing the father.
Read Philippians 2:6-11
6 Who, being in very nature[a] God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Yeshua (not some greek deity you are calling jesus) never said "I am not God" in John 17:3 so why would you state such a thing.
Yeshua was the Son of Yahveh. In order to understand that you must understand what "echad" (unity) is in Hebrew.

Jesus clearly teaches that he has a God just like we all do--John 20:17, rev 3:12--- alls one has to do is believe Jesus over mens dogma. They refuse to believe Jesus--its hard to blame them in a way--the trinity translations are filled with errors. Even though they contradict Jesus' truths.

Yes Christ was sent, and Christ agreed to be sent. He is God along with the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
How do you explain Thomas bowing down before Him after His resurrection and saying, "My Lord and my God"? Jesus did not correct him.
How do you explain John 1:1, which speaks of Jesus and the Word, who was God and was with God?

U will never get out of the hole, not unless you study the nature of Trinity God. As a starter read St Augustine on God the Holy Trinity, why Jesus is very God.

Good I have been contemplating this matter, and had forgotten the passages, thanks: As a one point Jesus had told the Disciples not to give him the Respects due to God; therefore " False idolatry ", is the Ax to weld against the BEAST, and it's Earthly Minions, ..0310/2015
