How do I keep ice from forming on my driveway being caused by a slope in my yard?

It's a very slight slope causing ice to gather at the end of he walkway from the back door leading to the drive. Is there a border i can install to keep it pooled in the yard? All the salt and chipping at it as well does not keep it off the driveway. It's dangerous. sorry the pic is dark and grainy but hopefully the point is made

First thing is to divert the source of the water away from the walk. If the problem is condensation that is freezing then the walk needs to be warm enough that it does not freeze. A slight drainage ditch around the walk may help, if the walk needs to be warmed then there are some heating cables that could be installed to keep it above 32 F.
