How can we effectivly get rid of a beetle larvae infestation?

Recently we have discovered caterpillar like creatures in our house (enough to make your skin crawl) what is the best method o killing these pests as to pay a company it would cost £200. We have lino on our floors I have done some quick research on Google there seems to be some good advise but would anyone actually have experience or expertise in the area that could point me in the right direction as we have 2 young children in the house and I hate the thoughts of laying any sorts of chemicals and repellents around the home. So what is the most effective safe methods of removal to ensure correct removal.

We live in an apartment on the 4th floor up the apartment is quite small if that helps with the solution.

You can get rid of these insects by using herbal moth killers that are safe for human beings. Using natural moth deterrents will be helpful in your case. These insects are of two types basically:

    1. Food Eaters: They live in your kitchen/pantry small holes.

    2. Fabric Eaters: They potentially damage your precious garments.

Woodworm killer will get rid of all of them, but it stinks. You could try just removing the floor coverings and letting the floor dry out for several weeks. most crawling insects like moist conditions, so dry them out.
