    taking that which frisbee comes from which boy is immaterial, 5 frisbees to go to 3 girls

    g g g

    3 1 1 : 3!/2! = 3*

    2 2 1 : 3!/2! = 3*

    5 0 0 : 3!/2! = 3

    4 1 0 : 3! = 6

    3 2 0 : 3! = 6

    favorable ways (asterisked) = 6

    total ways = 21

    Pr = 6/21 = 2/7 <--------

    ps:

    note that probability can never be greater than 1

    5 Frisbees and 3 girls. so you have to divide the Frisbees among the 3 girls.

    in sort

    5/3

    EDIT

    The guy below me is on crack.

    let me rewrite the problem so you understand

    There are five Frisbee total. There are 3 girls. So the chances of a girl getting one is 5 out of 3,

    It would be like saying if there are 5 cookies and 3 people lined up to eat one. the odds are the 5 cookies will be divide among the the three girls. so in other words 5/3
