    If we ignore the pyridine ring for the moment, it has:

    4 C-C single bonds

    3 N-C single bonds

    10 C-H single bonds

    We now look at the pyridine ring. It has

    either

    3 single bonds and 3 double bonds

    or

    6 aromatic resonance hybrid bonds of order 1.5
