Should I trade in my Xbox 360 and all of my games for one of the next-gen consoles?
I have the newest edition of the Xbox 360 with a 250-gig HD, 1 controller, 63 games and most of their cases, a Tritton Detonator headset and all the cords. I would like to be able to play games with next-generation graphics, and thought about getting a PC, but for the type of gaming rig I would want, it would be much farther out of my price range than I would like. I totaled up my collection and I have a little over $1000 worth of gear and games. If I sell my 360 and everything with it, that puts both consoles in my price range along with extra money for games and accessories. Recommendations? Please, no fanboy answers, just straight up facts and opinions. Make your case.
NOTE I'm not selling to gamestop. I've been collecting these games for 3 years or so, and the reason why I have so many is because I was sick of being ripped off by them.

Yes that is surely not a bad idea because you have already played most of the current gen console on it. Now would be a better time to sell it and get some better resale value. Here you can find more information on this topic:

If you sell it now you will get better resale value than later. If Xbox 360 gets a price drop later after Xbox one is launched your resell value will reduce as well. My advice is to get Xbox One console.

I would keep it. If you can afford all that, then you should be able to afford a next gen console.
There's no point in trading in that much stuff since you'll get next to nothing for it.
Save it for your kids or give it to relatives or better yet, dominate to charity and get a bigger tax write off.
