URGENT! - Last minute braces advice?
Hi!
So I'm getting braces on in just a couple hours and I was wondering if anyone had any last minute advice on getting them or anything, also, when should I take pain medication? Before or after the installation?
Many thanks!

Hey I got braces a couple of months ago. My advice to you is once you first get them installed, they aren't that bad and shouldn't be that bad for the rest of the day... the next morning however is going to be a pain.... take medication basically as soon as you have pain also 1 month after for a wire change/tighting again you should just take it when you have pain.... also you can't probably eat for a couple of days so I suggest soft food!

I took some Motrin before getting mine put on and usually before an appointment in anticipation for discomfort. You'll probably be uncomfortable later the day of and up to a few days after.
