Which one should i get Ducati 848 or Yamaha R1???
I've always owned Yamaha 600s and i've got a Kawasaki Vulcan for cruising, and i used to have an R1 but totaled but i want to buy a new bike but am confused about which one should i get?
I am more of a street bike kinda guy i don't go to tracks or all of that but speed and performance is what i care about... So if you got personal experience about riding both bikes your help would be really appreciated as i can't decide which is better.
Note:
I haven't ridden the Ducati yet, and both of them are 2010
Thank you.

On paper, The Ducati is compareable to 600s as its a V-Twin and not an inline-4. A YZF-R6 will give this Italian exotica a good run for its money while at the same time costs a couple of grands less, while bigger GSX-R750 will simply leave it behind, talking about R1s! So if speed and performance is your only priority then sure The R1. Funny thing is an R1 & 848 costs roughly the same! But again, cheap and Italian usually don't mix together.
Lastly, you've already rode Japanese bike, some taste of Italian won't hurt even if its little slow....
Good luck.

Well sitting here in front of my computer I'd say neither.
A Triumph Daytona 955i will rock your socks and sock your rocks over both of your choices.
Might help if you're more than a beginner though.
