My Facebook account has a bug. What am I at risk of?

On my main Mac computer I can log-in to Facebook, but I cannot "LIke" or post or edit my profile. However I can do all of this fine on my other laptop Mac. This leads me to believe that I have some spyware or malware or bad cookies on that specific computer. Does this eliminate the possiblibity of my network being compromised? Or is it still possible that my wireless network was compromised?

I've started scanning my computer with a free demo of "MacScan", and I'm hoping this will clean out whatever is bad.

What are the implications of this incursion? Are my passwords at risk? If I bought something online during this time, are my credit cards at risk of being nabbed?

Okay, first apparently everyone who answered before me is illiterate and failed to see you are on a MAC. Try to do some simple things first. Chances are slim to none that it's a virus since the very few that ARE out for MAC are not widely distributed. First reset your browser, this is easy! Open Safari, at the top left click these in this order SAFARI>RESET SAFARI then reset EVERYTHING, try it out. If this fails then try to ensure that the computer is working properly this is simple as well Open you Applications folder>Utilities>Disk Utility then you want select the entire hard drive (the one at the top) then Verify Disk (this will take a while to complete) regardless of the outcome Repair Disk, after that then do the same for the disk permissions (99.9% of the time if you got virus THIS will clear it up and fix it). If this fails then try downloading Chrome or Firefox to see if the issue persists in there, if not then it's an issue with Safari, and you need to do more trouble shooting on SAFARI not the computer. If Safari is still messed up then check the Apple forums for similar issues, or even contact the genius bar!

  • Get BitDefender from the app store, it may be a dollar, but it is the best AV out there. Use the computer where FB works to change the passwords of all websites that you visited on the possibly infected computer. If an antivirus scan returns nothing, reset Safari, if you use it, or re install any other browser you use. By any chance, does twitter, or youtube work? (change your pw after you check!) if they do it it means there is a virus of some sort present.

Obviously this is an issue with some malware in your local pc, scan your pc with an anti virus, an anti spyware, an anti spam and an anti rootkit

I believe there is problem with your explorer. Try to re-install it.

If you want to make sure if it is explorer problem, ask your any friend to open his fb id on it. It problem is same, means you need to re-install.
