Can blind people see in their dreams?

Or if not, what are they like? I'm just curious :)

The blind won't necessarily see as a sighted person might. If I placed a fairly round object in your hand without identifying it, you might not recognize that it's an apple but you would certainly pick up on the relative roundness. You would smell it to see if you could associate it with a familiar scent A gentle squeeze and you would find you are able to create a slight dent in the flesh by pressing on the skin. The stem tells you this is a fruit or veggie that was attached at an earlier point to a vine, tree or bush branch. While not all people will define sight in the same manner, anyone will be able to come up with some sort of understanding allowing for descriptive analysis. There could be resultant difficulties in communicating to others, however. These can be resolved.

I was blind for nearly five years during adulthood. I came up with that occasional item that was new to me. I found I was able to redefine some things in ways I'd not have understood years earlier. I had been a life-long wood carver of small objects depicting humans whose facial expressions were their prevailing strengths. While I felt lost at first, in time it was possible to continue creating my 3" to 4" human replicas out of bass wood.. Following multiple surgeries I found myself amazed that my pieces labeled "B" for blind weren't bad at all. Carving is more about feel than sight. After all, what we carve is something that doesn't even exist until we come along and create something others will see.

Dreams are repositories in which our thoughts and ideas are housed and played out as though in a staged production. We can smell apples, touch carved objects and feel love from others. Visual acuity provides but one means of potential recognition. Fortunately, we can all experience such things, sighted or blind.

So it's really how we define sight or at the least---how we can relate to something despite having to communicate in what might be an unusual way.
