What are my rights in this situation/is this legal?
I'm 16 and in my senior year of high school. I live in canada, with my mom. I had plans with a family member and i cancelled them last minute and they showed up to find me anyways. They kept texting me and asking for directions, but I was not prepared for where they were taking me and I refused to go. First I spent 40 minutes bawling my eyes out trying to explain that i couldn't go, and one of my friends tried to talk some sense into the family member but to no avail, in which he left crying. He then went to my mother and made her come and threaten me with everything she could until she gave up and they took my cell phone and left. am i within my rights to refuse to leave property i am welcome on when my parent is trying to get me to leave?
It was my uncle coming to get me to go to his house. I may have inconvenienced him with a late text, but it shouldn't have escalated to what it did. And to that one **** down there everyone has rights, bro. Don't try and act all ******* smart.

Be more specific about the situation.
If this is your Dad showing up to get you for his court ordered visitation time, then you do not have the right to refuse to go with him.
If it's some cousin that wants to take you to a party, then just tell them you don't want to go.

At 16 you have no rights. Period. And your reaction clearly shows you're not ready for those just yet, starting with last minute cancel. NEVER last minute cancel unless you happen to be dead or on your way to the hospital.

Sounds like a trip was planned with a ticket for you that had no refund. So the person who booked the ticket paid, and your ticket will be unused because you didn't get ready to go. I don't think you should be forced to go, but you should pay for the ticket.
I could be wrong about this but you don't explain why you changed your mind. Please tell us.
