How do I disable themes in Yahoo Mail Plus?
I was happy with the legacy Yahoo Mail interface. I opted-out of the last upgrade, and I would have opted-out of this one, too. The people who are designing this interface spend far too much time making things look pretty, and far too little time on making Mail QUICK and FULL FEATURED.
I made a mistake of checking out one of the themes in the new Yahoo Mail interface. Now I cannot turn it off. I have eyesight problems, and the theme significantly reduced the contrast of my screen making it very difficult to read.
Why does this question even need to be asked?
HOW DO YOU TURN OFF THEMES?
I discovered that you can go into your Mail Settings -- View -- Basic Mail and that will disable themes and, mostly, revert you to Classic Mail.

You cannot turn off Themes. You can change them. Some have a colored triangle in one corner. These are the most basic. They feature an entirely white background but the words such as on your folders and buttons will be the color that you selected. Select the gray triangle for a very basic black and white screen.
There are two ways to change the Theme or background on your Yahoo Mail page:
Hover over the mountain icon in the lower-left corner.
A message will appear that says, "Show or hide the postcard gallery."
Choose a scene to use as the background to your email page.

On your Yahoo Mail page, hover over the gear icon in the upper-right corner
Select Themes from the list
Choose a background you'd like to use. Scroll down for more options.
After you have selected your Theme click Done in the lower-left corner to save your changes.

Not too mention that the the new Yahoo mail is so bloated that it will not even try to connect without wifi.
Yahoo, you need to focus on functionality because all the cosmetics in the world are not worth squat without that!
I am switching back to Basic email!!
