hi. what happens if you don't pay? i already missed two months. i been cut off from family. and i don't have money. i tried to contact the companys but they did not do anything. do i try to go to debt stoppers? what happens?! how many times do i have until i go to jail maybe?! i m so scared. and distant. help! :(--

Well if you have a decent job, then contact a lawyer. He may have you file a chapter 13. That will stop the harassment, and you will make a monthly payment to the court, and the court will distribute the money.
If you do not have a job, contact the lawyer. File chapter 7. This will erase all your debt. You wont be able to get any credit for a few years,but you wont have any debt to pay off either. The lawyer will want his fee up front ( duh) on the chapter 7, but will take payments on the 13. You will have to come up with some filing fees, but usually that's not too bad.
