Someone who knows a lot about o2 & iOS 7 on iPhone 5S!!?
Hey guys, I have 2 problems here.
My friend has an iPhone 5S on contract with o2, but has accidentally broken the screen. He's got a replacement through the insurance, and the broken one is just sitting in his draw doing nothing. he said I can have it, because I will pay to have it fixed, and he's already got his replacement. If I do get it fixed, can I put an o2 PAYG SIM card in it when it returns, or will it be blocked from allowing that? My friend said it could be, but isn't sure.
The second problem I have, is where do I get a free PAYG o2 SIM card from? Do I get it straight from the o2 website? I know they have to be activated, so can someone tell me how I go about doing that? Also, How do you top up on o2? Can you use a top-up voucher?
Thanks everyone. Can you please answer every question, because I need to know the answers to them. Thanks.

Here's what you gotta do..
Get the phone fixed
Order a O2 nano sim for free online, it should be delivered in the next 2-3 days usually and by then your phone will be fixed.
With the sim there will be a info booklet, eg. Numbers to remember page
Find a free O2 number to ring
Ring them and ask to activate your sim
DON'T MENTION ABOUT YOUR FRIEND OR HIS OLD CONTRACT OR ANYTHING
Just pretend its your phone
While he's activating if he does notice your phone is blacklisted he'll inform you and if that happens just say oh, I bought this the other day eesh! Thank you and hang up
Now if the phone IS blacklisted take it to a shop and ask for it to be unlocked
Once it's unlocked you can use it on any network besides O2
Enjoy and its highly unlikely it will be blocked, so relax!

They tend to block the old one if they don't then you can get a sim for free from the O2 website or they may charge you for a small fee

They block the old one. With my network, they actually take the old phone back, but tell you to remove the simcard. When i broke the screen on my 4s, they couriered me a new phone within 24 hours, told me to remove the simcard, and took the broken phone back.
